2024-11-03 00:02:24 ET of all the various updates in mac OS sequoia, words cannot express how ABSOLUTELY FUCKING AMAZING safari's new "hide distracting items" feature is. all these horrendously designed modern websites trying to ram "AI" and "shorts" and all this other bullshit perpetually down my throat now get all that bullshit permanently disintegrated to oblivion (the animation safari gives when you get rid of the stuff you don't want is just that satisfying) and it never shows up again. companies refuse to hire people who give a shit about UX anymore and just want to hire yes-men morons who tack on a bunch of tedious nonsense to websites - thank goddess apple has finally given the end-user the ability to just permanently say "no thanks and fuck you forever" to these companies. ...you know i could also use this feature to get rid of SK's "site updates" announcement from 3 years ago but i kinda like it there.
