2025-12-27 00:26:44 ET another non-poop post what is this??? but i just wanted to say that i love how something with SK's old-ass architecture, and also likely relating to something with the fact that safari after mac OS tahoe dropped has been a buggy dumpsterfire - though this specifically only happens with SK and not other sites - causes safari to periodically (i would say even as much as 50% of the time) attempt to download the subkultures.net website when typing it into the address bar of the browser and hitting return as opposed to just loading the fuckin site. only happens with SK (granted i have no idea if i even visit any other non-https sites presently) and happens on both mobile safari and desktop safari on the current iOS / macOS versions. if i wasn't years and balls deep into safari as my main browser both out of convenience and security features, this and several other problems with this generation of safari would be enough for me to consider a different primary browser but oh well here we are. even my own website (and various others with animations on them) don't fuckin load properly in safari - and only safari - since macOS 26 dropped. still love a lot of things about apple but they sure as shit have an increasing amount of "yeesh" going on these days. oh well. enshittification über alles i guess. hey at least safari still has the stellar "remove distracting items" feature to basically kill enshittification on the web otherwise. the tim cooketh and the tim taketh away. or something. |
