So lazy    2018-02-05 08:36:09 ET
I had a lazy day yesterday (Sunday). A real lazy day. Didn't do anything but lay about and watch youtube videos of mostly Nardwuar interviews with naps providing the proper intermissions. Now that that's out of my system maybe I should swing to the other side of the pendulum and try to be overly productive this week? We'll see how that pans out.

I should also figure out how to insulate my apartment better. My small bedroom is really warm when the heating works but the main living room/kitchen area is still cold and drafty. That needs to be investigated. Maybe a tealight candle flame will help me narrow down the problem spots? Or I might need to invest in one of those point-and-shoot thermostat guns or whatever they're called.

Hmm, I should do laundry tonight.

Uh, nobody really cares about these types of posts but whatever. Though I should provide something interesting.

Hmm,

The Spying Game Part 2: The Walls Have Ears

That one's a documentary that I've seen years ago (by this I don't mean "a long time ago" but, instead, "more than one year ago") where they (the infamous "they") talk about the ever-increasing technical evolution of bugging tech and anti-bugging tech and, in the end, they mention some anti-bugging device that basically finds bugs by detecting transistors? I should look more into that since I can't imagine how that works.

Uh, I think that's all for now?

Oh, here's a Michael Caine documentary that I found inbetween naps today but haven't finished watching.

Hmm, I should shave, shower, and shape up for work. Adios!

Holy shit, I used to post about listening to shortwave on a scanner? Totally forgot about that. Maybe it's time now for me to head home and load up either a websdr, a real sdr, or a shortwave receiver. When I was younger, I had the will but not the way. Now I have the way but lost the will. Fuck, I sound like Ugandan Knuckles.

Speaking of, so it seems like Uganda doesn't have any of the clicking languages present as a main language. Seems like the official languages over there are English and Swahili. Thing is that a third language is present there and it's quite popular. It's called Lugunda and, this is what interests me, is that it's a tonal language. I wonder how many African languages are tonal? It'll be hilarious if the Ugandan Knuckles peeps decide to take the meme to the next level and end up learning Lugunda.

Man, weechat seems to have more built-in functionality than irssi but irssi is so much more intuitive. I'm still not sure if I should switch back to irssi or soldier on until weechat also becomes almost second nature. Ofcourse the initial setup for both will probably never truly become second nature due to how rarely I need to set it up. Whatevers. Just some random thoughts.

Also, sheesh, this place needs an ssl cert like last year.

Just had a bit of a spatial awareness issue as I bumped into a boxed laundry drier kit set thingie which was leaning against a folding table. It fell, made a loud noise, I reached to catch it and knocked the beer stein that I use as a tea cup onto its side thus spilling leftover Earl Grey tea onto the floor.

Fucking chain reactions, man.

Speaking of beer, does anybody recommend any good sites on the internet for buying beer and liquor? I'm a fan of Japanese beer, especially Sapporo, and when I drink it I pretend that it came imported from Japan like Tsingtao is imported from China. I refuse to accept that it is actually brewed in Canuck Country up north.

Still, I pay respect to Canuck Country as we do not have enough countries in North America. And I still haven't been to Mexico. I do want to go there. Not just for its history and climate. Not just because it's mentioned in the movie Johnny Mnemonic as well as Gibson novels. Not just because the "two weeks - two weeks" scene from the original Total Recall was filmed there. But because Mexico is just there. On the continent where I reside. To not see it is to ignore a big part of the land mass upon which I now sit.

And that would be a traveler's mistake.

Hmmm, the electric kettle has come to boil.

Tea will soon be served.

To me.

By me.

Earl Grey. Hot.

So here's the deal:

I've got this shaggy, curly, black beard currently attached to my face and, as per Peter the Great's decree, I want to shave it off.... but how do I do that without clogging up the sink?

Love, sex, secret, and god. These are the 4 most commonly used passwords. But what about "uranus"? I don't believe I have ever seen that word used as a password but, then again, who would tell you their password if their password is "Uranus"?
