Social Network Hipsterdom

LeoZ 2013-01-17 06:23:31 ET SK is the new FB

Drake 2013-01-17 12:59:54 ET Negative.

VoL 2013-01-17 13:22:07 ET SK was cool long before SK was cool. FB was cool before FB went public.

Drake 2013-01-17 13:37:36 ET I just hope we don't have a bunch of idiots joining complaining about not finding skinny enough jeans.

VoL 2013-01-17 13:56:41 ET People join this site?

Drake 2013-01-17 14:34:06 ET We get some randoms every now and then who aren't friends of current members. Most don't last outside of 5 or 6 posts.

Wreck Me Ugly 2013-01-17 14:44:38 ET Very true. and the locals lurk

Venadium 2013-01-18 08:38:54 ET I've always wondered how people find this site without being told about it by someone who's already a member

LeoZ 2013-02-04 08:22:06 ET I bet you Warren Ellis name drops this place while drunk. "One day I joined this really obscure social network and lasted almost a month on it *hiccup* Bartender! My glass is empty!"

Drake 2013-02-04 11:39:45 ET I had to look up Warren Ellis. Lol, silly Marvel writer.

LeoZ 2013-02-04 11:56:22 ET He's one of the greatest comic book writers out there and he's the creator of Transmetropolitan (among other works)

Drake 2013-02-04 12:06:13 ET I'm just not a fan of much of what Marvel does.

LeoZ 2013-02-04 12:23:14 ET He doesn't just write for Marvel. He wrote for DC, Image, and others.

Drake 2013-02-04 13:08:48 ET Oh, I just noticed. I guess he just isn't what I look for in comics.

LeoZ 2013-02-04 13:47:19 ET What do you look for in comics, if I may ask

Drake 2013-02-04 13:59:01 ET Umm, some of the comics I like are Frank Miller's stuff on Batman, some Punisher stuff (Maxx was amazing), Rising Stars by J. Michael Straczynski, a lot of Allan Moore's stuff. As of right now I'm mostly reading Batman stuff. Ellis's Transmetropolitian looks good but I just have other things that are higher on the list.

VoL 2013-02-04 14:40:21 ET Transmetropolitan is legit tho.

Drake 2013-02-04 14:50:36 ET I've heard some things about it but I have about 20 other books that need reading first.

LeoZ 2013-02-05 08:25:12 ET Yeah, from what you posted you'll definitely like Ellis' stuff

Drake 2013-02-05 08:31:37 ET I'll be sure to pick him up but it might take a while! I didn't meant to offend I just don't know any names and a lot of Marvel stuff just leaves me wanting a real story. Transmetropolitan will be put on the list though.

LeoZ 2013-02-05 13:51:51 ET You offended me so much that I now require you to buy me pizza, beer, and...uh...popcorn. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Drake 2013-02-05 15:09:29 ET I've got some nice popcorn right here sweet cheeks. Man, do I fucking miss pizza though.
