2022-07-20 01:05:29 ET i've lived in san francisco for over 8 years now, and in my current apartment building for over 2 years, and yet i just now realized that the front cover photo / promo image for "san francisco rush" (a game and series that i've always been rather obsessed with) was shot basically around the corner and 2 blocks up the hill from where i currently live - an intersection i've walked through many times but never realized this until i just went on an internet dive relating to the entire rush series this evening and put 2 and 2 together. here's the cover: in real life there's no cable car on this street, and both of those cars are about to smash straight into a wall / stairway that basically goes up part of one of the cliffs of telegraph hill. there's no more street in front of them. here's a photo i took on the 4th of july about halfway up said stairway (that building in the right foreground is blue these days as opposed to the tan it was then) congratulations: you've now been unnecessarily educated on this bit of pointless trivia. 4 comments
