Pills and a Stiff Drink
Pills and a Stiff Drink,
I can't bear the pain to think.
Wash all these troubles away from me,
And let me slip into my Darkness.
The drink and drugs become my companion
They become my friends,
They keep me company.
The bottles and tablets,
At least they never reject me,
Or leave me all alone
On a special occasions like Birthdays
Or the times when I need them the most.
Pills and a Stiff Drink,
I can't bear the pain to think.
Wash all these troubles away from me,
And let me slip into my Darkness.
The welcomed intoxication is all I have to look forward to.
The only solace or comfort I receive.
I have not a solitary friend in this wretched place,
Except for these tablets
And the fiery liquid that chases them down.
