2009-08-30 12:37:59 ET So 3 days ago the newest chapter of my life began, pretty sobering. Got a phone call from my unit, me and 10 other guys from my unit have gotten picked to go overseas to go to Afghanistan. We start our pre-deployment training monday for 6 months then its over seas. Got the phone call just after coming home from working for 2 and half months away from home and am home for 1 week then i'm off for a year to do this. Mixed emotions to say the least. |
