A friend of mine brought over a video of some Texan radio show host named Alex Jones who "infiltrated" the Bohemian Grove.
The surrounding rumours about the Bohemian Grove say that a bunch of "elites" of society gather up in Northern Calufornia, in a place called the "Bohemian Grove", down on the Russian River. This gathering takes places over a period of 2 weeks and its attendants dress in dark robes and perform dark, evil Satanic, semi-Masonic rituals involving one of child sacrifice to the ancient god Moloch!
And so Alex Jones, and a news crew from BBC's Channel 4, decided to infiltrate this infamous gathering and see what sortness of evil is present there.
My first b.s. detector went off as I realized that most of the movie was a prelude to the actual "infiltration" and was mostly footage of Alex Jones chatting with the Channel 4 crew.
The second b.s. alert went off (like a monkey with a gun. It'll either masturbate or shoot. It's the simian version of Russian roulette.) when Alex Jones was talking with the locals and kept changing his accusations of the things going on at the Bohemian Grove. He started off with "Did you hear anything about the child sacrifice performed there?" then he changed that question to something like "Did you hear about the alleged child sacrifice performed there?" and this question finally reached it's final form when hestartedasking people "Did you hear about the child sacrifice performed there...in effigy?" So basically he reveals that there is no child/human sacrifice there. They just burn a doll or something. (Btw, these quotes are paraphrases and are not direct quotes.)
So, anyways, the documentary finally brings us about to the Bohemian Grove. We do not see Alex Jones hassled by cops or by security guards because, according to him, the digital cameras which they had with them had tapes which were only one hour long so they had to tape at selective moments. Fair enough, but why is most of the secret camera footage just plain footage of people walking around and contain nothing of interest.
Then they finally get to the ceremony. It's not a human sacrifice. It's a freaking play. I'm not kidding. It's a freaking play. It has a show program and everything. And no. Not everybody is enrobed. Just the people on stage. Most of the attendees are in the audience enjoying themselves. The show is called the "Cremation of Care." It's about how the attendees should burn away their cares while attending this retreat. That's it! The only thing that's burned is some effigy. Almost none of the attendees are robed (except for the stage people) and it looks no more Satanic and semi-Masonic than Shakespeare in the Park!

I just woke up with the remnants of a dream. In a couple of previous dreams I was by a house, on Todt Hill, which looked really expensive but was selling for only around 100,000 bucks. I'm not gonna describe how the house looks like but I'll say this: In today's dream I talked to the real estate agent who is seemingly always at the house. He told me that the place is selling for practically nothing because nobody has truly lived there since a serial killer killed all the house's inhabitants in 1956. The guy even mentioned a name but I don't remember it. So now I'm googling for: "1956" "serial killer" "staten island".

The "Hannibal Lecter of Staten Island". A pedophile child killer who killed kids in the 80s. Compares himself with Ted Bundy.
Richard Rogers.
Claims to be innocent. Accused and found guilty of murdering gay men by stabbing them and then cutting up their bodies with a knife and saw.
Speaking of Hannibal Lecter...
Albert Fish, the inspiration for Hannibal Lecter killed a girl on Staten Island in 1927. Witnesses reported seeing the girl with a "Gray Man" thus beginning a manhunt for the "Gray Man".
David James Roberts.
Killer of 4 people. Eventually caught running a homeless shelter on Staten Island.
I know that this sounds a bit disjointed. It's just that I'm going to sleep and am writing this up as reference for myself and others. I'll write a better piece on Serial Killers of Staten Island later.

Goddamit, why can't Neil Stephenson remain constant in hisstory? He sdpends the first 6 pages describingthe pizza delivery system of the future and that there is only one pizza delivery company that's owned by the Cosa Nostra. And, no, that's not really a spoiler.
Anyways, chapter 21, paragraph 2, the first freaking sentence says "...because none of the pizza chains deliver to her neighborhood." WTF?! You've spent the first chapter explaining that there's only one pizza company and then you forgot that you wrote that? Come on!
