So I went to Boston in the early mornnig of last Sunday and then came back to New York on the ensuing Monday night. I started to feel sickish on the train and Tuesday I woke up fully sick (congested, nose leaking, coughs sounding like a ripped amp) and went to work (I quit 2 weeks ago but gave them 2 weeks notice. This Friday was my last day at work.)
Anyways, so i'm still kinda sick. My nose stopped leaking (for the most part) but my throat is still fucked up. It hurts lightly, plus my voice is gravely and, this is the weird part, I can't reach any high notes. I don't only mean when attempting to sing along to music. I mean that I can't make any higher pitched noises. This situation elevated lightly today. I can talk in a bit higher registar(sp?) now and can force out some really high-pitched weird-ass sounds but any sound between my normal voice and high-pitched squeaking is currently unachievable. This sucks.
On the other hand Matt and Greg and Andres and Enamon and me got the drums set up today. The only problem is that there's no cymal stand and that I can't find the backlegs for the bass drum. So far this hasn't been a problem. Tomorrow I think I'll tuned the drums to sound a bit more logical.
Uhm.. I'm gonna go now. i'll write something more up later.
