whats that organ called..?

my brother is over in italy.. as most of u prolly remember.

well, we got a phone call yesterday.

he's in the hospital, his appendix burst like 3 days before he saw a doctor. he was in horrible pain and vomiting.

so he had it removed, and because he waited so long they had to remove part of his colon (ew) as well. as on right now he is laying in a hospital bed being fed through a tube and numbed with morphine with a big cut on his stomach. they cant sew it up until a certian amount of time or whatever.

he's gonna be in the hospital for like 2 weeks and be off work for like 2 months.

i feel bad for him, but im sure all his Navy buddies are envious of his time off.

Well, `tis a unpleasent fate, but lucky the burst appendix wasn't fatal, as they all too often can be (remember Houdini, boys and girls).
Also, FAR better fate than being shot, shelled, or blown up by mines: as is the scenarios we are putting far too many (In my oppinion, ONE is TOO MANY!) of our youth, and the youth of less-fortunate nations, in.
At least appendicitis is a NATURAL condition, unlike having a Metal Object propelled at Lethal Force into one's flesh.

In any case, my energies, in the "Desires of my Will", shall be projected wishing for the prevention of all occurance of Sepsis, and a quick mending of Tissues, with no complications.

I know how hard it is to have one you care about be ill far away where you can not make sure they're ok. My sympathy and condolances are with you and your family.

my condolances go out to u and ur family too.

thank you everyone for you concern. its true that i am mainly freaking out coz my brother has never been sick this far away from me.

when the hospital first called all i could think was that some carbomb exploded! he's got 2 yrs to go, i hope nothing goes wrong again.

its scarey to imagine this guy with a tube feeding him
