2004-03-27 22:18:25 ET I practiced my sax for a bit yesterday. That was refreshing. I didn't realize how much I missed having a horn to my face. It was a new feeling to practice with a M16 and grenade launcher strapped to my back. Yesterday was great!!! We didn't do a daggone thing. I played gameboy, read my Bible, ate chow, heard a rock concert, and went to the px to buy some near-beer. I am really enjoying my job right now!! I really hope that we get to stay the whole year as planned. I ran into one of my buddies from my church group back home at the chapel this morning. In other news, our admin clerk is going to get my promotion points calculated when we get to Baghdad. Sergeant Miller, that has a nice ring to it. I will get picked up, hopefully, soon after my points go 'hot'. We are leaving in the next few days on our trip north. I will be out of contact possibly for a few days.
