Hi vasa, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I feel terrible that the radio isn't a higher priority right now, and I dropped the anvil on that one.
One thing that really bothers me about the radio is that it isn't really streamlined for numerous dj's. It appears the way Dead666 is set up is for only one dj. I dislike that there is a shared password (hence why I am always apprehensive of taking on new DJs) and the uploaded mp3s get sketchy. :P
I think the station naming is an issue because what happens is, people aren't sure what the blank spots in some of the login info is, and they just type in whatever.
Regarding changing what our station preferences is, that is bullshit, and I'm angry that people are doing that.
So we have numerous issues like those to deal with, mostly because the software isn't set up to be accessed by numerous people.
So hmm ways to handle that are probably stricter rules and higher communication? Hence why I have the yahoo group, but I have a suspicion that everyone who dj's isn't on the group, and a few dj's on the group don't get the emails or read them.
Any ideas on w0t ta do?
Any suggestions/etc, are highly valuable. Washu, I know you have proposed a central information site that I had begun to work on. tash was working on a radio site for her school project, but I'm not sure what that status is. I'll contact her, and dig out the radio site I had started, and see if I can get that a lil tighter.
If either of you (or both of you) are interested in handling all the updates/communications/etc, that would be very cool.
I think the radio can be a strong focal point of the site, but it just hasn't come into fruition due to numerous reasons (software/technical issues, lack of awareness, disorganization in regard to the DJ roster, etc etc). |
