the past 3 days back in Spokane visiting w./ my folks has been GREAT!
A little weird on the 'old chum' level tho....
Let me explain:
The bars are all different/mostly new faces
The bar that Vivisi, his girlfriend Sam and I all converged on ((B* SIDE)) RULES! Both in lay out and for seeing old friends.
The 1st night we went there a bunch of the older than dirt punkers(ppl i USED to look up to) bands were playing. They were great. Plus seeing them got me in touch with band members from my fav. Spokane band ----->>> THEY NOW ALL LIVE IN PDX!!!! (YAY!!!!)
The other bar we have been hitting is a classic.
Been there forever and is a great place too.
NOTE: my bar tab ea. of these nights > one night was 13 drinks!!! < Has been no more than $9.!!!!!<BR>
Last night was ODD......
So we were sitting at "MOOTSY'S" and in walks my ex g/f(who ended our relationship by cheating on me and giving her virginity to an ex high school pal of mine - i was unaware she was a virgin til' i found out from her friends on what she did.) and an ex-"THING" i had back in '95/'96
Let me tell you.
it was like i got electrocuted....shivers could not explain my jolt of anxiety.
..........but it was cool......
not only that, but i got the appology(TEARS AND ALL!!!) that i had been waiting to hear for near 8 yrs ago!?!?!
*INSANE!*
The rest of the nite was filled with me running into punkers and being told "how nice i have always been", "how they looked up to me" "how generous i have always been" "how much i did for the scene here...."
I almost started crying...
I mean yea...
The reasons for this praise were things i did...but such recognition 10 yrs or so later???
I feel gitty.
This trip has been an eye-opener.
