So the family dog got fleas so we had to clean up the whole house, vacuum it out, wash it down, vacuum it out again, rinse, repeat, avoid eyes.
So I can reorganize my stuff. My dad pointed out that I have some Yamaha cd player and a Yamaha amplifier. So the cd player is fucked up and that's gonna get tossed. I hooked up the pc's audio and the x-box 360's audio output's to the amplifier and hooked up 2 stereo speakers to the amplifier. That sounded good and all until I noticed something when listening to "Baby, You're A Rich Man" (off the "Magical Mystery Tour" album.) Basically the speakers couldn't handle the full audio range of the audio. Too many things were going off at once and I probably need ot add more speakers to the set-up. Oh, and I did check to make sure that i'm not hearing any weird mp3 compression artifacts by listening to the CD of the album.
Anyways, so said "fuck it" and plugged my headphones (JVC noise0cancelling ones that I got from Virgin) into the amp. It's fucking awesome. I can hear so many new things. I can hear so many new things in the same old music that I've listened to before. So far I went through "Magical Mystery Tour" by the Beatles, "Midnight Vultures" by Beck, and I'm now listening to "Abbey Road" by the Beatles.
I'm hearing so many new things that I've never ever heard before on these albums. You know how drastically different everything sounds? Well, it sounds so different that I now consider "Sexx Laws" to be the best track on "Midnight Vultures".
More to come. |
