Writing "Contest" #1: Story Idea

LeoZ 2006-12-18 14:36:30 ET Okay, so here's the idea for the first story. It's something I came up a while back but never actually used it to write a good story. There's that stereotype of paranoid nuts wearing tin/aluminimum foil hats to block out the government mind control rays. So the story idea is that the main character enterains the idea of actually making a hat and wearing it for a day. Maybe as a joke, maybe as part of a Halloween costume. Anyways, the idea for the story is that s/he finds out that wearing one of those hats does in fact block out mind control rays that really are being sent out. And so what happens? That's up to you to come up with. Yeah, yeah, if this sounds like the plot of "They Live" it's cause it's really close to it. But, then again, this sounds close to any other story where the main character stumbles upon the trye world beneath the perception of reality. This one hyst involves tin foil hats. Oh, and if you're gonna partake in this then please make an SK post announcing that you're going to be doing this and also promote the contest.

LeoZ 2006-12-19 18:44:33 ET Make it as long as you want. Uhm, I guess the deadline is next Wednesday. But obviously you can submit stuff earlier. You can always do more than one entry and/or go back and do another go of the story. Also, post that you're working on it on your SK and link back to this thread to spread the word. Oh, and it doesn't need to be in English. There's no prize so there's no need for me to be able to read it. The idea is that as long as it's out there for people to read then it's a success.
