Need to write a lot today.

Need to create samples of work so I could apply for a job as a writer at rags and yellow journals. Maybe I can get a job writing book introductions for unknown first time writers:

"I had know 'Ritchie' for a long time and was gently happy that he had asked me to write the introduction to his book for him. Ritchie is a poor old fellow with numerous diseases and even more numerous medical bills which he, by publishing and selling this book, is trying to pay off. So please by this book and grant Ritchie one more precious year on Earth."

Phone rings the next day:

Editor: "Uhm... Leo?"

Me: "Yeah?"

Editor: "The writer's name is John."

Me: "..."

Me: "Whoops."

You should add that you can get herpes or ebola because you touched the book without paying for it. That's a real problem nowadays.

John loves your touch of gold.
He can't wait until he includes you in his second coming book.

Analog sky: Actually that's why John is having health problems.\

Antony Green: Only if they pay me. But seriously, that would be such a great job.

*laughs* Sounds like a great job. I used to write endlessly as a child. I finished my first novel at age 13 but never found anyone who wanted the story. I finished my second by 16 but never found anyone who wanted THAT story. Then I got discouraged and well...

greater than mine.

Antony Green: What's your job? And any job at the moment is greater than my job: Unemployed.

Rivetangel: You wrote 2 novels? I've never had enough story to fill up more than 10 notebook pages.

I am currently holding two on-call commissions cos I don't like to commute heavily. So technically it's worse than unemployed because you feel like you have things to do but you actually don't.
