So the stinker got into a couple of dangerous situations today...scaring the shit out of her pappa and her mumsy.
First, her and the other dog, Effie, got under the main house this morning and played tug of war with insulation...luckly I caught them before any damage was done to them or the house.
Second, Ashby got stung by a bee. Her right lip swelled up quite a bit. I called the emergency pet clinic (e-vet), because by that point, it was around 8pm.
Anyhow, the emergency vet people told me that unless she starts barfing, breathing quickley or shaking, I would have nothing to worry about, and it would heal it's self. But that if I was still really concerned, I was more than welcome to bring her in. Well, being broke, I decided that I would just keep a close eye on her to see if anything went wrong....
I ordered a pizza and sat down to watch Empire Records...in the middle of my pizza gorging, I heard Ashby start to retch. She spewed all over the bottom left hand corner of the bed, and all over the floor of the entryway. I immediately called Loki, as his family/friends live much closer than mine, so he called his brother to give us a ride to the e-vet, and was going to get home as fast as possible...
Loki got here first, super worried...followed by Ashby's uncle, who was equally worried...unfortunately, he's in the middle of moving and only had space for one of us, with Ashby on-lap. So they took off, and I took a moment to let it all out, before pulling up the bus schedule and running for the bus to meet them.
I made it there in a record twenty minutes, Ashby and Loki were very pleased to see me. By the time I got there, she had already been seen, and given some shots benedryl, a steroid and an anti-inflammatory. They were still waiting to see the doc for one last time for some "next time" and "if later tonight" advice...when lo and behold...in walks my guinea pigs' doc!! I don't know if he recognized me...he was obviously very busy, so I didn't say anything...but it made me feel better knowing he was the one to take care of our little girl.
Anyhow...so she's doin' fine...the swelling's gone down quite a bit, and she's super hungry and acting a little agitated, but the doc warned us of that.
So that's my story....
Oh, yeah...and I finished my sign :]

I CAN HEEEEAAAAARRRR!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAYAYYYY!!! I unplugged my ears and it's GREAT cuz I can HEAR!!! YAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!
It's wierd, too, though...I haven't had my hearing unblocked for a long ass time (try about 8 months or so) It's like I have to learn how to hear again...everything is very loud and is making my head hurt...BUT I can HEAR!!!

So I'm broke again :P I went shopping with Loki tonight...it was fun :] I got lotsa cute interchangeable outfits to wear for saloning and school and even a new shirt for work, so I don't have to wear the same one all the time...I also ordered a couple of pairs of pants, but they won't be here for a bit. They're super comfy cottony form fitting pants. I had them before, but they eventually dyed....come to think of it, they lasted a good two or three years...i think...
Anyhow...I cut loki's hair tonight...just a trim...and i did a SUPERB job...go me! :] Comb over scissors works WONDERS for getting it even all the way around.
I'm not gonna talk about work because if I post that stuff on the internet, I could most probably get fired should someone see it...but let's just say it was a very stressful day behind the counter...and busy to boot. I am one tired cat :P
Ok...time to go steal a smoke from my man...cuz today was just *that* bad.
