Hurricane Dennis came knocking at our door.. oddly enough.. just ours.. no one else in the neighborhood.

although our close county [Fulton County] is flooded. i came home to this a couple of days ago.

Apples are covering the yard!!

luckily i hated that tree and its nasty squishy apples! thank you hurricane dennis you just saved us 500$ of having that tree cut down! :-)

whoa. 500$ for a tree to be cut down? thats when a chainsaw comes in handy

2005-07-12 15:38:43 ET

ya it costs that much man.. and we have like 7 trees in the back yard to cut down.

but ya we need a chain saw..

I bet you could get one for under 100$ at the evil walmart. or a hand saw for even less

i agree with the geek. or get a axe and tell James to be a lumberjack.

also, good to hear somethign positive came out of Hurricane Dennis.

ive got 3!
a craftsman, a homelite, and stihl!!!

its just the stihl is more complicated to start, but i dont think we'll need a 35 inch blade.

Lol, James would be quite the lumberjack!

Goddamnit I wish something as exciting as that would happen to me, damn I hate this gay ass town.

(evil face)

2005-07-16 05:53:46 ET

this was the only exciting thing to happen tho! this town usually sucks, but everytime hurricane season comes its kinda exciting.. haha

aww.. james as a lumberjack.. ::fantasizes::

(like on the simpsons with the burley papertowels and marge fantasizes about the lumberjack on the package)

I had to drop the birch in my front yard. I was quoted $600. I spent $100 on a used stihl, dropped the tree in an afternoon. Now the question it do I sell the saw for $200 (market value for used saw) Or do I keep it for later ; )

2005-07-19 18:00:35 ET

i say keep it, stihl is quality!

It is a really nice saw, 24" bar. I Might go cut fire wood next year with it.

you can always get a few spare bucks cutting up firewood and then selling it. Well here anyway, I'm not terribly familiar with the climate and such there
